Multiple fire departments were on scene of a commercial structure fire along School Street in Middleton on Thursday.
Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours under some extremely cold weather conditons. Mutual aid was called in from Annapolis and Kings Counties fire departments.
Due to how involved the fire was and for firefighter safety an excavator was called in to assist with firefighting efforts.
The commercial building was considered a total loss and is being treated as suspicious.
