Firefighters Make Quick Efforts at Garage Fire In Grafton

On Wednesday afternoon shortly before 5PM, Waterville Firefighters were dispatched to an electrical fire in Grafton. 

Prior to fire arrival, it was reported that flames and smoke were visible from an electrical panel inside a garage. 

Structure fire protocols were activated bringing in mutual aid assistance from Kentville and Berwick Fire Departments. 

The homeowner and first arriving officer managed to safely shut off the electrical panel and hit the fire with multiple fire extinguisher’s. 

Crews made entry and ensured there was no further extension while also ventilating smoke from the building. 

Nova Scotia Power & Kings District RCMP also attended the scene.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
