One Last Ride

Community

One week ago today, family, friends, fellow firefighters and police escorted active Port Williams firefighter Stuart Griffin to rest.

Kentville & Wolfville aerials trucks staged outside the Whites Family Funeral Home flying the Canadian Flag during the service.

Following the service, a procession that left the town of Kentville was led by the Kentville Police until shortly after the town line.

The procession continued with numerous fire apparatus and family passing the Port Williams Fire Department for one last time.

Wolfville firefighters stood outside the Port Williams Hall in turnout gear next to their trucks with lights flashing as the procession passed by.

Dedicating 65 years to the fire service is no small milestone. It is a commitment to your community, your friends and family.

That is something to honour.

Our thoughts remain with the family, friends and fellow firefighters. Stuart’s impact will always be remembered.
