With the burn restrictions right around the corner and warmer weather, we’ve already seen a spike in grass fires.
There are ways to protect your homes!
Here’s how:
1️⃣ Clear vegetation: remove dry leaves and other debris from your property to create to reduce highly combustible ignition sources.
2️⃣ Fix any holes or gaps in your exterior sidings to prevent embers from igniting your home.
3️⃣ Create a landscape with fire-resistant plants to decrease the chances of embers landing on combustible materials and igniting your home.
4️⃣ Make sure that your vents are non-combustible and screened; these can limit embers from accessing/entering your home.
